Doing an MBA from IGNOU

The Indira Gandhi National Open University is one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the country. It is especially well known for its distance education programs that allow students from far and wide to study and acquire various degrees. It is run by the central government of India and was created by an act of parliament in 1985. It is one of the largest universities in the world with more than four million students currently enrolled in its programs with the number growing rapidly. There are also quite a few foreign students who enrol in its courses. Students can enrol themselves in courses in fields like humanities, social sciences, management studies, journalism and law.

One of the courses that are greatly sought after at this university is its MBA program.  The program can be completed in minimum time duration of two years and a maximum duration of eight years. The course fee is in the range of INR 25000 to 30000. Graduates who have secured fifty percent marks in their graduation can apply for this program. They also need to have three years post graduation work experience. The MBA program consists of 21 courses in all and admission is procured by clearing the OPENMAT examination. Students can also opt for the post graduate diploma in management which can be completed in a minimum time of one year at half the cost. There is no age limit for either the MBA program or the PGDIM program. Completing this program carries a lot of weight since many of the graduates have gotten placements in key positions in the industry.

One of the tasks that the student is required to complete as part of the program is the submission of a project report. Doing a project report for an MBA program is no different from writing a thesis or a dissertation. It requires originality, thorough knowledge of the subject matter and plenty of hard work. This is where a little bit of expert guidance is required. Students often require help with literature review, research methodology, data analysis and deriving conclusions. There are times when they need someone to read through the report to make sure it has been written properly and no mistakes have been made. Before submitting the report or during the preparation of the project many students would be well advised to seek the advice of experts who can make sure that they have prepared the best report that they possibly can.
